Baby-Friendly Designation Initiative
Flagler Hospital is seeking recertification of the Baby-Friendly Designation,
which requires physicians, physician assistants, midwives, and nurse practitioners
responsible for labor, delivery, maternity, and nursery/newborn care of
babies at Flagler Hospital to complete three hours of CME education on
the topic of breastfeeding management. You are asked to complete the required
three hours of CME/CE education by June 1, 2023 through the
Flagler Hospital internet Point-of-Care (iPOC) activity. Each iPOC activity completed can earn
0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM by researching and reading evidence-based articles or position papers
on the topics of breastfeeding management (a list of sample articles accessible
through various sources are provided below). To complete three hours of
breastfeeding specific education requires the completion of reading
six different evidence-based articles/text-book chapters/position papers and complete
six iPOC activity evaluations (one iPOC activity evaluation per article/text-book
